In this series I explore the human figure through the theme of “blindness”.
I don’t make reference only to the blindness as a malady, but especially to the inability of people to foresee the objective reality. The human being sees only fragments of reality, the rest representing the fruit of his imagination and projections of his own self. In this case, the handicap of blindness becomes a true gift. If one could see everything, then no one would be able to create anything any longer. Also, through this series I wanted to bring together two contradictory concepts: visual arts and the inability to foresee. Those who will look at my works may see different meanings than I managed to see, create or offer. And in this lies the beauty of our diversity as humans.
